Meet Our Providers

R. Gray Snowden, MD

Dr. R. Gray Snowden

Dr. Gray Snowden grew up in Jacksonville, FL before attending Duke University and graduating in 1983 with a BS in Psychology. He then earned his medical degree in 1990 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville and went on to complete his pediatric residency at Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta in 1993. After brief stints on the Egleston faculty and with a private practice outside of Atlanta, he moved to Richmond and joined Dr. Wood at Capitol Pediatrics. Dr. Snowden is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is the current Chief of Pediatrics at CJW Medical Center. He lives in Powhatan with his wife Ruth, and two children. Dr. Snowden enjoys baseball, baseball cards, Duke basketball, and being around children of all ages. Included in his medical special interests are removal of foreign bodies and laceration repairs.

 
Konye E. Allen, MD

Dr. Konye E. Allen

Dr. Konye Allen was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from Queen’s University in Canada with a BS in Life Sciences in 2003 and then moved to the US. She attended Howard University College of Medicine where she received her medical degree in 2007. Dr. Allen completed her Pediatrics Residency at MCV in 2010 and then joined Capitol Pediatrics that summer.  She is Board Certified in pediatrics and some of her practice interests include well child care, asthma, obesity, and endocrinology. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and going to the gym.

 

Dr. Alexandra R. Przybylo

Dr. Alexandra Przybylo was born and raised near Albany, New York. She attended Providence College and graduated with a BS in Biochemistry in 2012. She went on to receive her MS in Bioethics from Union Graduate College (now Clarkson University Capital Region Campus) in 2013. She attended Albany Medical College where she received her medical degree in 2017. Dr. Przybylo completed her Pediatrics Residency at VCU in June 2020 and joined Capitol Pediatrics that Fall. Her practice interests include well child care, preventive care, and mental health care. Dr. Przybylo enjoys spending time with her husband, new baby, and their menagerie of pets including a llama named Finn and a horse named Flash.

 

Stephanie B. Musick, CPNP

Stephanie Musick, CPNP was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and Master of Science in Nursing and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University. Stephanie brings with her over 12 years of experience in PICU, NICU, and emergency/critical care nursing. She became a pediatric nurse practitioner because she loves caring for children and is impassioned about educating families on how to stay healthy. Stephanie wants to help children thrive and develop well through all stages of childhood and adolescence. When not working, she loves spending time on her farm with her husband, daughter, dog, cat, and horses.

 

Brooke P. Saunders, CPNP

Brooke Saunders, CPNP was raised in Poquoson, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Liberty University and then moved to Los Angeles working as a pediatric nurse at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from UCLA and returned home to Virginia when she joined Capitol Pediatrics in the summer of 2021. Brooke’s passion to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is to see her patients grow from newborn to adulthood while providing quality medical care and guidance along the way. In addition, Brooke is a certified lactation consultant and is looking forward to assisting mothers with their breastfeeding concerns. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting and going on walks with her husband and their two Italian greyhounds.

 

Madeline O. Scipione, CPNP

Madeline Hardy, CPNP was raised in Winchester, Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Virginia and then moved to Richmond to work as a nurse in the NICU at VCU Health. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and joined Capitol Pediatrics in the fall of 2021. Madeline is passionate about being an advocate for her patients and their parents as they navigate the stages of development from newborn to adulthood. Her practice interests range from well child care to procedures such as laceration repair. In her free time, Madeline enjoys exploring breweries and restaurants around Richmond, cheering on UVA sports teams, working out, and taking walks with her golden retriever, Sadie.
